Following our recent announcement of the inaugural London Now / Next / Why sessions the response has been fantastic... so much so that the first session has actually sold out. As a result we have decided to run a second session taking place in the afternoon from 12.30-4pm on 7 December. The session will cover the following four key trends that are transforming the global advertising and marketing industry and will be applying our 'Now / Next / Why' thinking to arm you with insight and inspiration to apply to your own business.
Frictionless Commerce / From gesture-controlled TV shopping interfaces to RFID-enabled musical fitting rooms, we will consider how technology can be used to reduce friction from the user journey and create retail and commerce experiences that are more relevant, seamless and meaningful - ultimately driving sales. Within this session we will be joined by retail experts Retail in Action, who will be sharing insights on the retailers that are getting it right, and what it is about their infrastructure that is behind this success.
Hack Culture / Once the preserve of geeks, hacking has gone mainstream, but with a more positive purpose, tackling political and societal aims. As a brand or agency, embracing hack culture can take courage. We will show that by taking a leap, brands can drive development, engagement, and increase positive sentiment - and potentially create something wonderful.
Augmented Content / Two-screen viewing, the proliferation of augmented reality, audio recognition apps, content check-ins and QR codes allow brands to act as interfaces between viewers and content; technology is changing the way we consume. In this session we will show how brands are using these technologies to build layers of interactivity, create more immersive, lean-forward experiences and better engage viewers.
Living Data: Your life, quantified / Apps, sensors and pervasive networks do not simply give us the chance to track our movements and habits in order to visualise our activities. Consumers can now use the data generated to adapt their lifestyles in order to become healthier, happier and more knowledgeable. We will show how the personal life tracking trend is affecting areas such as health, lifestyle and identity, the brands that are already capitalising, and the opportunities that are emerging.
