  • Georgia Malden

    Director of Projects

    Leaving university with degrees in Classics and Classical Art behind her, Georgia worked first for Lastminute.com and then at Sotheby’s as website manager of a newly-launched joint venture with Amazon. In 2001 she started her own business - an electric van delivery service – an idea which proved she was years ahead of her time as well as teaching her a salutary lesson in the value of failure. In 2005 she worked with Patrick Collister to launch Directory which remains the only global showcase of the best in direct marketing, before joining Contagious in 2008. As Director of Projects for our consultancy team, Georgia’s critical thinking and organisational rigour is vital for ensuring we deliver on brief every time.

  • Katrina Dodd

    Head of Trends

    Katrina came to a nascent Contagious in 2006 via Financial Times Management Reports and Shots magazine. She became the founding editor of Contagious Feed (the precursor to I/O) a year later and helped establish our consultancy team in 2010. Since then she's led projects to investigate original programme formats for the BBC, scope out the retail landscape for a luxury fashion group, and delivered a six week marketing capability training course for Universal Music. Most recently she’s managed workshop sessions to provoke Random House's marketing team, and helped a variety of agencies raise the bar on high profile client pitches.

  • Dan Southern

    Senior Consultant

    Dan started out as a strategist for OgilvyAction’s Sport and Entertainment team, developing BlackBerry’s Executive seeding and advocacy programme and London Schools’ Celebrity Ambassador Strategy. He then joined Xtreme Information’s consultancy division working on advertising strategy for Orange and Honda’s global teams. At Contagious since 2010, Dan has worked on a variety of projects including the delivery of retail tech strategy workshops for a leading global luxury brand, insight workshops for Nike, and a strategic review of emerging global mobile behaviours for Google. Most recently Dan has been leading our project to help redefine career experiences for Mondelez International.

    Strategist and Consultant

    Chris joined the Contagious Insider team in 2014, after nearly two years writing for Contagious Magazine and Contagious I/O. Working out of our New York office, Chris oversees a wide variety of Insider projects in North America, from trend briefings and workshops to in-depth reports and collaborative research projects. Prior to joining Contagious, Chris covered business and investing at Forbes. He also produced Steve Forbes’ Intelligent Investing interview series, which featured conversations with global leaders in economics, technology and finance. In past lives, Chris has worked as an editorial producer at Major League Baseball Advanced Media, a freelance writer at RollingStone.com and a consultant at Arcadia Solutions.

    Simon Kemp is a marketing strategist and practitioner with a passion for all things social, digital, and mobile. Simon has more than a decade of experience developing marketing strategies and frameworks for the world’s best brands, including Unilever, Coca-Cola, Google, Nestlé, and Diageo. He was recently recognised as one of Asia’s Most Influential Digital Marketers by CMO Asia magazine, and was featured in Campaign Asia’s 40 Under 40 honours list in 2014.

    In addition to founding the Kepios consultancy, Simon held regional strategy roles with BBH, Universal McCann and Starcom Mediavest. He has also been a global management consultant, with stints at Accenture and Ascension Strategy Consulting.
